Katie Bradley – Jane
Katie is making her Sandbox debut and was last seen as the Witch in Mu Performing Arts’ production of Into the Woods at Park Square Theatre. Other credits include: the Children’s Theatre Company, Walking Shadow Theatre Company, and Tiger Lion Arts. Katie will next be seen in Ten Thousand Things’ The Seven.

Nicole Devereaux* – Lulu, Co-Project Lead
As a Sandbox ensemble member, Nicole has co-directed Sandbox’s LAB artist training program, appeared in War with the Newts, .faust, Unspeakable Things and co-directed The Oresteia Project. She is a wife and mother and serves with a variety of non-profit organizations in Minneapolis.

Evelyn Digirolamo – Omnistudy, Ensemble Creation
Evelyn has a passion for ensemble devising and is excited to play, delve, and be overwhelmed with Sandbox for the first time. She is a co-founder of AEthem Theatre Company and has collaborated with several other local companies, as well.

Tim Donahue* – Keyboard/Bass, Music Creation
A member of Sandbox’s ensemble, Tim has been composing, directing, and performing music in theater, film, installation, and live performance under his umbrella organization, The Eclectic Ensemble for 14 years. Tim’s artistic endeavors have been recognized and supported by The Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, The Jerome Foundation, The McKnight Foundation, The Puffin Foundation and A Very Small Arts Fund.

Heidi Eckwall – Lighting Designer
Heidi has collaborated with Sandbox on War with the Newts, The Horse, the Bird, the Monkey and the Dancer, and The Mad Trapper of Rat River. Recent theater credits include Clandestino for the Wilhelm Bros., Black Water for Charles Campbell/Skewed Visions, Cabinet of Wonders for Kira Oblensky and Irve Dell, and The Joans for Annie Enneking.

Matthew Glover* – Marketing, Promotions Design
Matthew has performed with Sandbox in June of Arc and FARGO, as well as serving as FARGO‘s Project Lead. In 2013, Matthew will direct a film version of June of Arc and will serve as Project Lead for Sandbox’s mainstage show, This Is a World to Live In. Beyond Sandbox, Matthew and his creative partner, Sam Landman, write, direct, perform, and produce for their own company Pommelhorse.

Kate Guentzel † – Gigi
Kate is delighted to be making her Sandbox debut in Beatnik Giselle. Other Twin Cities credits include: The Master Butcher’s Singing Club and M. Butterfly (Guthrie Theater); My Antonia (Illusion Theater); The Birthday Party (Jungle Theater); and Burn This, Corleone, and Orson’s Shadow (Gremlin Theatre). She is the recipient of a 2010 Ivey Award for her portrayal of Antonia in Illusion Theater’s My Antonia, as well as a 2008 Ivey Award for “ensemble performance” in Gremlin Theatre’s Orson’ Shadow.

Erika Hansen – Viola
Erika received her BFA in Dance from the U of M – Twin Cities and danced in New York for 9 years in works by Rebecca Davis, De Facto Dance, Colleen Hooper, Shannon Humme, Noemie Lafrance and Willi Dorner. Upon returning to MN, Erika worked with International McKnight Fellow Johan Amselem. This is her first project with Sandbox Theatre.

Peter Heeringa* – Stage Manager
Peter is thrilled to return to Minneapolis and Sandbox from Boulder, CO where he recently finished his MFA in Theater; Contemporary Performance from Naropa University. A Sandbox ensemble member since 2010, he has worked on stage and behind the scenes in FARGO, .faust, The Horse, the Bird, the Monkey, and the Dancer, and Zelda: Wonderland. He has also directed extensively at Eden Prairie High School since 2001.

Ryan Hill* – Allen Ginsberg/Set Design
A graduate of Hamline University, Ryan has worked and studied in Germany, New York, and most recently San Francisco on a two-month intensive in traditional Japanese Nohgaku theater. He co-founded Sandbox in 2004 and has since been any combination of writer, director, performer, set designer or Project Lead for each of Sandbox’s productions. Ryan has also served on the Board of Directors of the Network of Ensemble Theaters (NET).

Kathy Kohl – Costume Design
An award-winning costume designer in the Twin Cities and beyond, Kathy previously co-designed Sandbox’s .faust. Recently, her work has been seen in Frank Theatre’s Ajax in Iraq, Girl Friday Productions’ Street Scene (Best Costumes 2011– Lavender Magazine), History Theatre’s 1968, Walking Shadow Theatre’s Compleat Female Stage Beauty and many others. Her next projects include This Side of Paradise (History Theatre), Urinetown (Jungle Theatre), and Camino Real (Girl Friday Prod.).

Theo Langason – Robert Kaufman
Making his Sandbox debut, Theo is a recent graduate of Rutgers University where he studied Theatre Arts. Since returning to Minneapolis about a year ago, he has worked with Theatre Pro Rata, The Mysterium, Red Eye Theatre, The Winding Sheet Outfit, and Tequila Mockingbird.

Anna Lewein – Asst. Stage Manager
This is Anna’s first project with Sandbox. Since graduating in 2012 from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities with a BA in Theater, she has performed in Voice of the Prairie and Man of La Mancha with St. Croix Festival Theater and worked as Box Office Manager at the Ritz Theater. Special thanks to friends, family, and especially a particular gentleman in her life.

Derek Meyer – Neal Cassady
Derek is incredibly excited to be making his Sandbox debut. He has a BA in Theatre from the University of WI-Green Bay and has been touring the country for the last 5 years performing with National Theatre for Children. Derek has also worked with companies such as The Flower Shop Project and Killing Joke Productions.

Derek Lee Miller* – Jack Kerouac, Co-Project Lead, Set Design
Derek earned his BFA in Acting and Technical Theatre at Millikin University in Decatur, IL. Since then, he has worked around the country as an actor, puppeteer, designer, writer and musician. A Sandbox ensemble member, Derek appeared in Koogoomanooki, War with the Newts, HBMD, .faust, June of Arc, Unspeakable Things, FARGO and was Project Lead for The Mad Trapper of Rat River. He is also a member of another ensemble theater group, Transatlantic Love Affair in Minneapolis.

Lisa Kneller Moreira* – Director
Lisa is a collaborative theatre director, teacher, choreographer, and mom. She has studied Dance with the Boston Ballet and at the University of Iowa, and Performing Arts Administration and Arts in Education at New York University. She first encountered collaborative, multi-disciplinary theater with 15 Head: a theatre lab, and has since directed Sandbox’s Zelda: Wonderland, .faust, June of Arc, three short plays for aphasiatica:duet, and co-directed War with the Newts.

Zainab Musa – ShiShi
Making her Sandbox debut, Zainab earned her B.F.A in Acting at Ryerson University in Toronto, ON, and has since studied Dance (Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre, NYC) and Clown. She’s been seen on stage in Canadian Stage Co.’s Twelfth Night and Mixed Blood Theatre’s Hijab Tube and is developing a feature length film called SuperBlack Fly. She thanks God, Goddess and the ancestors for a blessed life and her supportive husband Mitchell.

Greg Schutte – Drums/Percussion, Music Creation
Greg is a Minneapolis-based drummer, producer, and sound designer working with Sandbox Theatre for the first time. Over the past 20 years, he has as performed nationally and internationally with a wide variety of artists and groups. Earlier this year, Greg composed and produced his third of four commissions for Ananya Dance Theatre, premiering in Trinidad and Minneapolis. Greg is also Owner/Producer at The Bathtub Shrine Recording Studio in NE Minneapolis. For a full list of credits, please visit gregschutte.com.

Heather Stone* – Helen
Heather has originated many roles as a Sandbox ensemble member in shows such as Victoria in Red, Zelda: Wonderland, Koogoomanooki, War with the Newts, and June of Arc. She also co-directed The Oresteia Project: Queens and Daughters and coordinates Sandbox’s LAB training program. A performer throughout the Twin Cities, she’ll next appear in a remount of June of Arc in Duluth, MN, and in Park Square Theatre’s To Kill a Mockingbird.

Jacqueline Ultan – Cello, Music Creation
With a Master’s Degree in Performance from Yale University, Jacqueline has performed with a long list of world-renowned musicians, as well as with four unique and acclaimed projects: Jelloslave, Saltee, The Starfolk, and Antigravity. In addition, she serves on the faculty at the Macphail Center for Music, the Minneapolis Community and Technical College, and also runs her own home teaching studio. This is her first collaboration with Sandbox.
